Technology in the classroom
Technology surrounds us, therefore it is essential that it is integrated into all levels of our educational program. We approach teaching and learning with balance; combining traditional methods with the tools of the 21st century.
Blended Learning combines traditional teaching methods with the best in educational technology. It expands our ability to individualize instruction by identifying each child’s “just right” level in reading and math, and provides instruction that allows each student to work on the appropriate content at the appropriate pace.
Blended Learning also recognizes that children learn in many different ways. Small groups, learning stations and teacher led instructions are all incorporated into this innovative learning method.
In addition to enhancing our curriculum, St. Therese guides students toward the responsible use and application of technology. SMART Boards, desktop computers, laptops, iPads, and developmentally appropriate web-based programs are used daily throughout the school.
