The Pre-K/K program is for children who will be ages 3-5 by September 1 of the current school year. Classes are held in the lower level of the St Therese Community Room from 9:15-9:55am on most Sunday mornings from mid September through late April.
The objectives for the Pre-K/K program are to:
- Gather the children together as a faith community
- Present and discuss the Sunday Gospel using Pflaum Promise Teaching Guide and other lectionary based children’s resources
- Model music and singing as a means to praise God, and to express faith
- Practice select parts of the Mass, with emphasis on the Sign of the Cross and the Our Father
In addition, St. Therese middle school and high school youth will help to serve the children as assistants to adult catechists. Please see position description below and contact Liz Lammers at 952-261-0563 or email@example.com if interested in joining the youth catechist team.
