Welcome to High School Youth Discipleship Ministry
Our Mission is “To inspire youth to an ongoing encounter with Christ in His Church and to empower each one to live their whole life in His love.” We live our this mission by providing thought provoking formation, habit forming prayer experiences, and providing opportunities for authentic friendship.
Please see the opportunities below for ways for our High School Youth to grow in virtue together.
Faith Formation Prayer Corps: Join Now!
Faith Formation’s Prayer Corps ministry is back for its second year! Last year, thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we were able to make sure that almost 800 youth, parents, and volunteers were being prayed for every single day. We are hoping to expand this ministry so that we can guarantee that every student, family member, and volunteer in our program has someone praying for them by name.
Members of Prayer Corps are given a list of 10-15 names and asked to pray for them every day over the course of the school year. You can pray for them in any way that you see fit. This is a very accessible and flexible ministry, but it is so important! Prayer is the lifeblood of our ministry, and we need your help!
For more information or to sign up, you can reach out to Joe at jschiltz@st-therese.org. You can also sign up at the link below or at the table located outside the Adoration Chapel.
Embark
Life is messy. Faith is real. Let’s figure it out together.
Your teen’s faith journey is just beginning! Embark is a Wednesday night high school program where students can grow in their Catholic faith, build lasting friendships, and see how following Christ shapes everyday life. Teens enjoy meaningful conversations, interactive evenings with laughter and prayer, and a welcoming community where they belong and are encouraged.
Confirmation isn’t the finish line—it’s the start of a lifelong adventure. Come Embark with us and explore faith, friendship, and the joy of walking with Christ.
Hallow Teen Lent
This Lent, Life Teen is partnering with Hallow to offer a Teen Lent Challenge that makes prayer simple, realistic, and—most importantly—personal.
Here’s what makes it awesome:
3 months of free access
Built for teens with short, engaging reflections
Only about 3 minutes a day — easy to fit into real life
Do it together as a family or parent/teen challenge
Invite friends so teens can grow in faith with their community
The Teen Lent Challenge is a 47-day journey created specifically for teens, with daily audio sessions rooted in Scripture, the lives of saints, and simple Lenten practices that actually make sense for their everyday lives.
This Lent, encourage your teen to take the journey — and even better, walk it with them. A few minutes a day can turn into a faith habit that lasts far beyond Easter.

Small Group Faith Formation
Small groups are the primary means of high school Faith Formation at St. Therese. Small groups are a chance to build community, pray with friends, and learn more about the faith. Moreover, they provide mentoring in Christian life. Here is another benefit of small groups: they are extremely flexible. It is very easy to tailor a small group to the needs of its participants. Once started, the participants, in consultation with their mentors, get to pick what they study.
Small groups usually meet for an hour once a week at the church. But they can meet for more or less time, if needed. Similarly, they can meet once every two weeks, if that is helpful for the participants.
To join one or get one started, contact Chelsie Blustein at cblustein@st-therese.org or (952) 261-0566.
Confirmation
We are dedicated to helping your son or daughter grow in their relationship with Jesus and love for His Church as they prepare for this holy sacrament. Through the Confirmation process, we will…
Teach your youth about Christ, His Church, and His sacraments
Lead them to encounter Christ through worship and the sacraments and deepen their relationship with Him
Challenge them to discover their God-given gifts and the vocations to which God calls them
Give them vital tools to deepen their life of prayer
Introduce them to a vision for a full life in Christ
Form them into a community of disciples prepared for Jesus' mission in the world
We pray that through preparation for the reception of Confirmation, your son or daughter will find a home and purpose in the Church as they are conformed to Jesus' heart!
If you have any questions, please contact Chelsie Blustein (cblustein@st-therese.org or 952-261-0566) for more information or click the image to the left to be directed to the Confirmation page.

Extreme Faith Camp
High school leaders play a vital role at Extreme Faith Camp. As missionaries and young disciples, they help middle school youth encounter the love of Jesus Christ while also growing in their own faith. There are two leadership teams at camp, each with a unique purpose and focus.
Prayer Team
The Prayer Team serves behind the scenes and is essential to the spiritual heart of camp. Members commit to praying and interceding for the entire camp throughout the week. They also assist with set-up for Mass, evening sessions, prayer experiences, and other behind-the-scenes needs.
Prayer Team leaders receive intentional formation through talks, small groups, and mentorship. Many students share that their Prayer Team year was one of the most meaningful parts of their Extreme Faith Camp experience. If you are interested in Prayer Team contact Chelsie Blustein at (952)261-0566 or cblustein@st-therese.org
Extreme Team
Extreme Team members serve as role models and companions for the middle school youth at camp. Throughout the week, these leaders guide a small group of campers, participate in all camp activities, and accompany the youth as older brothers and sisters in Christ.
Extreme Team leaders help create a fun, faith-filled environment where middle schoolers can grow closer to Jesus—and they often experience powerful growth in their own discipleship as well. If you are interested in Extreme Team contact Chelsie Blustein at (952)261-0566 or cblustein@st-therese.org
