Bible Study Overview

A series of Old and New Testament scripture study and reflection of how these scriptures of the Bible relate to our everyday lives. This series consists of 21 books. Small Faith Sharing groups meet from September through May to study the individual books of the Bible. Each group will study scripture, pray, and share their faith stories. YEAR 1 Group Forming for Fall 2016

Our St. Therese Adult Bible Study began in the Fall of 2012 with 49 participants forming seven small groups. Another 5-person small group formed the following year and began the study. This Fall, we’re again opening up the opportunity for new groups to form and begin the study.

The study includes a series of 21 books, (each book being either 6 - 8 weekly sessions in length) which introduces each and every book of the Bible. If someone chooses to participate in the entire process, over a period of years they will have had the opportunity to read each book of the Bible.  This process provides insight into the Sacred Words of antiquity, and invites you to discover the living Word and its impact on our daily lives. With narrative, study questions, reflections, keynotes and prayer, your understanding of Scripture will be deepened with the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina.

The cost per book will be $10.00 per person.

If you are interested in the opportunity to be a part of a small faith group that is just beginning the study, contact Liz Lammers in the parish office at 952-261-0563; llammers@st-therese.org.
